I promised myself that someday I would put together all of the gems I've discovered from private practice, my personal journey, and parenting my daughter through repetitive behaviors, into a simple program that could help more people find more freedom. 18 years after getting my doctorate, 2,400 patients, one world-wide viral pandemic, and 457 chai lattes later, I've finally made that promise a reality...

I'm a puller, picker, and biter myself.
I've spent the last 35+ years of my life researching and experimenting with strategies and tools to find freedom from these behaviors for myself, my daughter, and my patients. I’ve spent many of those years miserably failing. But over the years, patterns of things that really work started to emerge. I look forward to sharing some of these hard-earned gems with you. Hopefully I can help you find a little bit straighter path to freedom than the windy road I took. These are the programs I wish I would have had when I was scared and alone as a 9-year-old in Mrs. Bennett's 4th grade class.

For pullers.
1-2 people out of every 100 silently struggle with repetitive hair pulling. If you pull from your scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows, pubic area, or legs you're not alone.

For pickers.
Repetitive skin picking is very common and is estimated to affect between 1.4-5.4% of the population. This makes it more common than peanut allergies!

For biters.

I'll send you a new video each day where you'll build your skills, one-by-one, so you know exactly what to do when an urge arises. BEYOND BFRB 12-WEEK IMMERSION - STARTS NOVEMBER 1st
This course is about helping you find more freedom and creating a structure to make your results last. This program is based on the science of epigenetics. I've shaken out the gold nuggets of what I typically cover in a year of private sessions into a step-by-step program that will walk you systematically towards more freedom in your body, brain, and life. Each month we'll focus on one aspect of how you can support your physical body to find more freedom. This is a live weekly Zoom class. We'll meet for 12 weeks. All sessions will be recorded. Parents need love too!
One other area that I'm a reluctant expert in is parenting a loved one through these behaviors. I know first-hand how helpless and painful it feels to watch someone you love struggling. How desperate I was to make things better. How guilty I felt. How the harder I tried to help, the more resistance I met and the worse things got.
